Try these three routines for late autumn night fishing
As the weather gets cooler, the number of times you can catch big fish at night is also becoming less and less. It is also because the temperature at night is getting cooler and cooler, and the probability of catching big fish is naturally not low compared to the daytime.
However, theory is theory. If you want to achieve some success in actual combat, you still need to pay attention to the routine. Fishing on late autumn nights, because the temperature and water temperature decrease, the routine used is really a bit different from that used in midsummer.
Routine 1: There must be space for walking fish near the fishing spot
In fact, in addition to the difference in visual field, the difference in fishing skills between night fishing and daytime fishing is not particularly significant. The main difference is the rate of catching fish and the size of hooked fish.
After entering late autumn, the temperature and water temperature at night decrease significantly, so the target fish for night fishing are generally larger in size, and correspondingly, the struggling strength of medium hook fish is also very strong.
Therefore, it must be taken into account that once a large fish is caught, the struggle is very strong, and if there is not enough space for walking the fish at the fishing point, such as there are many grass and trees near the fishing point.
It may also be a steep embankment or a small dock. Although the effect of attracting and gathering fish is very good, once caught, the risk is not small.
In addition, grassy waters release a large amount of carbon dioxide at night, and dissolved oxygen is relatively low. This situation is not obvious in summer.
After the mid autumn, some aquatic plants have begun to wither, which can worsen. Therefore, when fishing at night, choose fishing spots and do not be too close to the aquatic plants.
Routine 2: The fishy aroma is better than the fragrant bait
According to common sense, when fishing for large fish, especially in the wild, the bait should not be too fishy, because too fishy bait can provoke small miscellaneous fish.
Therefore, we can only use lighter bait. To ensure the lure effect, use fermented grain bait or add medicinal wine, so that even vegetarian bait can have a good lure effect.
There is no mistake in this view, but we fish in late autumn night because of the large temperature difference between day and night, and the obvious decrease in water temperature. Based on the aroma alone, the attraction to large fish can only be said to be average.
Just because the water temperature is low and the activity of small fish is insufficient, adding fishy bait to the bait, or using live bait or insect bait, can make the lure effect even better.
Routine 3: The luminous rod has better effect than the luminous electronic float
Whether the electronic float works well or the luminous wand works well for night fishing is a controversial topic, but for old birds, there's really nothing to say about it.
The float tails of electronic floaters are mostly soft tails, so they can continue to emit light after being powered on. Even if the float tails are bent, they will not easily break. In addition to mass industrial production, the cost is already very low.
However, in terms of actual combat effects, because its softer float tail, whether floating up or down, is relatively fleshy, in terms of grip effect, it is actually insufficient.
The situation of luminous rods is different. Firstly, the astigmatism of luminous rods belongs to cold light, which is not as irritating to fish. Secondly, the combination of luminous rods and hard tail float, as long as the float is adjusted properly, does not affect the grip effect at all.
Therefore, even if the glow sticks are disposable, older birds still prefer to use glow sticks over electronic floats. Of course, this statement is not absolute.
The above three routines are specifically used for late autumn night fishing. As for other factors, they are not significantly different from night fishing in other seasons, so I won't go into detail here.
