Structure of fishing hooks
The fishhook is composed of six parts: handle head, hook handle, hook hook, hook tip, hook door and hook bottom, each of which has its specific function
1. The handle head, also known as the hook shaft, refers to the uppermost part of the hook handle. Its only function is to prevent the tied fishing line from slipping. The handle head has many shapes, such as straight flat head, side flat head, round head and so on. It is required that its thickness is uniform, and the edge should have a certain thickness, otherwise it is thin like a knife edge, and it is easy to cut the fishing line.
2. The hook handle, also known as the hook handle, is the section from the handle head to the hook bend, and the upper end is used for binding wire. The hook handle is long and short. The long hook handle is suitable for hanging long bait such as rainbow worm and insect bait. It is mostly used for fishing and swallowing fierce fish. The long hook handle can make the hook stab deeper, and it is not easy to run fish, and it is convenient to pick the hook. Use face bait, rice grain and other small grain bait to fish, and it is better to use the hook with short hook handle
3. The hook is the bending part of the fish hook. Its main function is to hook the fish firmly and reduce the pull of the fish on the hook to a certain extent. The hook and bend will vary with the hook shape, including round, square, streamline, downward slope, etc. The hook and bend with reasonable angle design can enhance the tensile strength of the fish hook

4. Hook tip, because it first acts on the fish mouth, it is required that the hook tip of the fish hook must be sharp, and the bald or blunt hook tip or virtual tip cannot fix the fish hook. There are barbs on the inside of some hook tips. The camber of barbs should not be too large or too small. The barb should be at 1/3 of the hook tip. The puncture speed of barb hooks is not as fast as that of barb hooks. However, once stabbed, it will be difficult for the fish to break free.
5. The hook door, also known as the hook mouth, is the distance between the hook tip and the hook handle. The width of the hook door is proportional to the size of the hook type. The larger the hook number is, the wider the hook door is. The hook of the wide hook door is suitable for the fish with large mouth, and the hook of the narrow hook door is suitable for the fish with small mouth
6. The hook bottom, also known as the hook depth, is the depth from the bottom of the hook to the hook tip, which can share the pull of the fish on the hook tip. The depth of the hook bottom is also very particular. If it is too deep, it is difficult for the fish to swallow into the mouth. If it is too shallow, it is easy to cause fish running.
