Fishing line can be said to be an indispensable and important equipment for our fishing. A good fishing line can bring us a good fishing experience in all aspects. A good quality fishing line will first make us feel safe and reliable in the fishing process, and we are very confident. How to choose a good fishing line? How to distinguish between good and bad lines? People often care about the quality of fishing line: softness, tensile value, water cutting property, wear resistance, crimp resistance, ductility, etc. But in addition to these, I think these points are also very important.
Whether the surface of the fishing line is uniform
The surface of some fishing lines we bought is very smooth, but the surface of some fishing lines feels concave and convex, that is, the surface of the line is uneven, and there are three reasons for the uneven surface of the fishing line: first, the processing equipment of fishing line production. The first process of fishing line is that the raw materials are melted at high temperature, and then wiredrawing. However, because some manufacturers' wiredrawing equipment is not in place, the wiredrawing of fishing line is uneven. Second, even if the fishline produced is smooth, the surface of the fishline will undergo physical changes and deformation after post-treatment, including softening. The tension will also be greatly affected, and the stability of the line will become very poor. Third, the workers in the fishing line workshop pulled too tight in the process of sub packaging and winding, resulting in the extrusion and deformation of the fishing line under the lateral force for a long time. Normally, the newly produced fishing line will have a shrinkage of about 3% within 72 hours, so it can't be wrapped too tightly. Although this has little impact on performance, it will affect the beauty and water cutting speed.
How to find a cost-effective fishing line
In addition to the four characteristics of the fishing line we often talk about, the first point is whether the surface of the fishing line is uniform. The reasons for the wire drawing technology may lead to different wire diameters, which will affect the wire tension. Of course, it may also be the squeeze force affected by the day after tomorrow. The second point is the tension value we often talk about, but I have always stressed that the tension value must not only depend on the straight strength of the tension, but also on the strength of the nodules, because we will eventually need large knots in the process of fishing. Some poor fishing lines tend to rise seriously, so the straight tension is very strong, but the tension value will drop linearly after tying. The first thing for a good fishing line is not to increase the number, not to falsely mark, and the nodule strength of the line will not be reduced too much. So the fishing line is good or bad. Try the knot tension of the fishing line. This is the essential strength reflection of the fishing line, which can most intuitively perceive the tensile performance of the fishing line. With the first two tests, at least you won't suffer from the tension.
Finally, I have to say that the softer the fishing line is, the better. The fishing line normally produced is relatively hard and brittle, but it has good toughness, strong tensile value, and relatively stable tensile force. The softer lines are often treated by hoses in the later stage, that is, adding softener and soaking at high temperature, but the tension value of such fish lines tends to decrease, and if the soaking time is too long, the fish lines will also rise, and the nylon molecules inside the fish lines will be changed, the gap will become larger, and it will become very unstable, which is often prone to the phenomenon of tangent. But the advantage of this kind of fishing line is that it has better hand feel and elasticity, and better palatability.
